The history of cowboy hats

The cowboy hats worn by modern knights can be traced back to the 13th century Mongolian horse herders. Its style is characterized by high roof and wide edge. In the design, due to the local hot climate conditions, the designer designed a very wide brim like a Mexican cowboy hat. It is uncertain when people began to call hats "cowboy hat" (denim hat). Westerners did not have a fixed hat style at the beginning.

The American concept of Ristison was the first to start operating cowboy hats. The explorers in the west brought the cowboy hat back to the east. In the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, cowboy hats have become a must-have for men and an important display in the window. Stevens' high quality and expensive hat has become a symbol of cowboy success. In 1912, the USSMAINE, a warship sunk in 1898, was salvaged in Havana Port. The publication publicized the durability and waterproof of Stevens' hat. A Stevens hat was found in a sunken ship after 14 years. The cap is soaked in mud, liquid and aquatic plants. After cleaning, the hat was as if it had not been damaged.

Cowboy hats have become a part of western cowboy culture. The materials of modern cowboy hats are generally divided into three categories: felt, straw and leather. The style is that the crown is higher than the crown, the brim is wide, flat or creased, and the inner side can absorb sweat. The hat processed by hot steam will become softer, more shaped, and can adapt to drought and cold. In appearance, feathers, turquoise, leather carving, silver accessories, etc. are usually used to decorate the outer side of the crown. Cowboy hats can be made in any color, most commonly beige, brown and black.
